| Choosing a wireless hidden camera
A
wireless hidden camera can be used to keep an eye on employees,
a babysitter, or workmen in your home when you are away. Once
only available to law enforcement and spy agencies, advances
in technology have brought these devices into the realm of
everyday products. Wireless hidden cameras are self-contained
and easy to install - they are completely portable and require
no external wiring. There are several factors to consider
when choosing a wireless hidden camera.
All of our wireless hidden cameras operate
on a 2.4GHz frequency for improved image quality and transmission
distance. In addition, our wireless hidden cameras include
a free receiver, something you won't find elsewhere. You will
still need to purchase a monitor or DVR (Digital Video Recorder)
in order to use these devices, but the free receiver is one
less piece of hardware that you will have to purchase.
Another factor to consider when choosing
a wireless hidden camera is whether to choose a color or black
and white model. There are certain trade-offs between the
two types. A color camera provides more detail in the image.
For example you can tell the color of a person's clothing.
However, black and white cameras have a better overall resolution
and can record images with less available light.
Consider choosing a wireless hidden camera
with X-Vision. X-Vision is a technology, available only on
black and white models, that allows the camera to record an
image in lighting as low as 003 LUX (this value represents
almost total darkness). Standard LUX values, without X-Vision,
are .05 LUX for black and white models and 1 LUX for color
models. By way of comparison, a camera with a light sensitivity
of 1 LUX would be able to record a useful image late in the
evening, around dusk. A value of .1 LUX would be able to record
an image in a lighted parking lot at night, and a value of
.05 LUX would provide the ability for the camera to "see"
in near darkness - actually better than the human eye.
Another feature to look for when choosing
a wireless hidden camera is a rechargeable battery pack. This
allows for completely portable operation and also allows the
camera to be hidden in devices that normally do not connect
to the power line. Look for at least a 12-hour time between
charges.
Due to advances in technology, mainly in
the area of miniaturization, a wireless hidden camera can
be concealed in a large variety of objects. We have over 35
different models available, ranging from a fully functional
cordless phone to an operational can opener for kitchen surveillance.
We also have cameras hidden in a clock, a teddy bear (ideal
for use as a "nanny-cam"), a heating/air conditioning
thermostat, a smoke detector and a mantle clock. In fact,
we have the largest selection of hidden cameras that you will
find anywhere.
As you can see, there are a number of factors
to consider when choosing a wireless hidden camera. This is
a good reason to do business with a company such as totalsecuritywarehouse.com
- you can benefit from our years of experience in this industry.
And with our large selection of hidden cameras, we can easily
help you choose the one that is perfect for your needs.
